The Sacromonte and its caves are bearers of a romantic aura that fed the first literary romanticism. Born in the heart of the gypsy neighborhood of Sacromonte (Granada), Juan Andrés descends from a family with a long tradition of flamenco: nephew of the famous dancers Mario Maya and Manolete, and the no less known guitarist Juan Maya Marote. He began to dance at the age of three in Cueva de la Rocío, and at the age of fourteen he traveled to Cairo with the company of Cachado and since then he continued to perform in different shows.
