Ella es sobrina-nieta de una de las bailaoras más famosas del flamenco Carmen Amaya. Karime ha crecido con los bailes salvajes de su madre y en la academia de Mercedes Amaya en México DF. Por la primera vez sale a la escena a la edad de 9 años con la compañía de sus padres: el guitarrista Santiago Aguilar y la bailaora Mercedes Amaya también conocida como La Winy.
