FAMILY: She belongs to a one of the most important gypsy families. She is the nephew of Los Habichuela and descendant of Los Carmona of La Línea de la Concepción in Cádiz (to which also belong Los Ketama). She is Antonio El Rubio and La Repompa de Málaga’s nephew and Miguel El Rubio and Camarón de Pitita’s cousin.

FAMILY: She belongs to a one of the most important gypsy families. She is Antonio El Rubio and La Repompa de Málaga’s nephew and Miguel El Rubio and Camarón de Pitita’s cousin.
CAREER: She is a soloist singer; apart from her authenticity and purity in the singing she has also a particular talent that makes her unique. She is a complete artist who has always worked with the most important dancers and guitarists, from Farruco to Tomatito, Joaquín Cortes, Antonio Canales and Manuela Carrasco.
During the last years she has worked in Rafael Amargo’s Company, touring with him theatres around the world. She has also done a lot of collaborations with very important musicians in their records.
In 2007 she participated in the Flamenco Cycle of the XXI Century in Barcelona.
María has in mind to record an album in which a lot of great flamenco artists will collaborate.
